There have been many attempts to describe their sound. Ranging from tight, to original, to country with a blues twist, to “the best live band I’ve heard in this venue in 10 years.” But, the most common description is the one that makes them stand out more than a lot of artists. “The most laid back, fun loving group of guys that play our establishment.”It’s been three years in the making for these four hard working musicians from all over the country. Bringing together different backgrounds, different styles and molding them into a tight sound that lights up stages and dance floors all over the country. Playing over 200 shows a year on the road since June of 2008, they live for the joys and the rigors of the road. The band consists of a set of guys with one common goal. Making great music for people to sing along and dance to. They all have similar beginnings with very different paths on the road to what is Nathan Dean and the Damn Band. They all began studying music at a young age, ranging from 8 to 12. From there the paths split. Nathan began with drums at age 12 and moved to singing in high school choir and the college jazz band. Then turning to musical theatre out of college for several years before finally picking up a guitar and starting a local country band in Phoenix in 2005.Jessie began singing in church at a young age and continued in high school as well as playing saxophone. He also turned to musical theatre in high school and college until he picked up a guitar in 2008 and joined his brother Nathan on the road singing harmonies and playing acoustic guitar. He has since become the bass player of the band and still provides the solid harmonies that only family can create.Larry D plays the lead guitar and has been making money with it since he was 14 years old. Playing clubs growing up in Miami then in Germany, his guitar has also played house gigs in Las Vegas and Phoenix as well as on Beale street in Memphis. His guitar style and tones gives the Damn Band their smooth country blues sound. He has been in the band the longest, playing with Nathan since late 2006.Bill also started on drums at age twelve only he has stuck to sitting behind the kit, banging on the skins. Though he also studied voice through high school as well. He has been touring for most of the 2000’s with gospel groups and several Nashville country artists. He’s been laying down the beat for the Damn Band since they hit the road in 2008.They have played for 10 and 10,000+ and no matter what they are determined to entertain all who will listen. Opening for such acts as Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Diamond Rio, Kellie Pickler, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and countless others. With the release of their highly anticipated new album “After Party” they are poised to be one of the most talked about bands of 2011. Keep a look out for these boys on the road and on the radio, because the after party is about to begin!!!
